NASA's SOFIA discovers water un the sunlit side of the moon

NASA’s SOFIA, a Boeing 747 converted into an observatory, has found proof of the presence of water molecules on the sunlit surface of the moon. Still, it’s trace amounts. To put it in perspective, Sahara desert dust has more water than lunar dust. But it raises the questions of how that water got there and what keeps it there in the near-vacuum on the moon.
